Terms and Conditions

General Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully as these conditions incorporate the basis on which bookings for Chesa Canggu (“Hotel”, “Chesa Canggu”) are accepted. The Terms and Conditions below are for bookings made directly via the hotels’ websites and payments via payment gateway systems that may be operated by different entities and you will be directed to the corresponding Terms and Conditions for your reservation.

By using this site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

We may revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time by updating this posting. The revised terms will take effect when they are posted. Your use of some parts or features of the site may be governed by additional Terms and Conditions. Where this is the case you will be notified accordingly of those additional Terms and Conditions.


Tourist Visa

Some countries require a tourist visa in advance and some can be obtained on arrival at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport. Some visitors do not require a visa at all. Prices also vary. Visas are valid from seven to thirty days. Passports must be valid for at least six months from your arrival date. Please check with the nearest Indonesian Embassy or Consulate or contact our reservations department before departure.



Any accident and medical-related costs incurred during the guests’ stay will be on the guests’ personal account. Guests are strongly recommended to purchase Comprehensive Travel Insurance which includes, but is not limited to, the following coverage – loss of payment through cancellation, loss or damage to personal baggage, loss of money, and medical expenses.


Check-In and Check-out

All guests must present a valid passport and ID documents upon check-in. The reception staff will make a copy. All guests will be asked to fill in and sign a registration form.

Check-in time is at 14:00 afternoon local time. Check-Out time is at 12:00 noon local time.

Early Check-in is subject to availability upon arrival.

Late Check-out is subject to availability until 18:00 afternoon local time. This will have an extra charge of 50% of the room rate.

For early morning departure, guests are recommended to contact the reception desk one day before departure.


Guarantee Policy

A valid credit card is required to be presented together with identification upon check-in.

Any expenses throughout the guests’ stay including (but not limited to) dining and mini-bar will be charged and settled immediately after consumption.

Upon departure from the property, all fees for services rendered or property damages caused by guests shall be covered by guests, where the credit card will be debited by the property for the fees.

Transactions are constituted electronically and a binding agreement in terms where guests authorize the property to debit the credit card as stated above and the guests’ written signature shall not be required for authorization purposes.


Room Booking

To confirm room bookings please fill in the reservation form and send it to Full payment is required upon reservation, see Payment Policy. Options for payment:

Via bank transfer

Via credit card

The same credit card used for securing the booking must be presented upon check-in for setting remaining balances during the stay. Guests will receive an online link payment request upon booking, with a system similar to an online payment.


Payment Policy

Upon room bookings, to secure reservations, guests are requested to make a full payment for hotel accommodation, if applicable, upon reservation. Payment upon arrival or departure will not be accepted. Please see our cancelation policy for refunds.

Guests will need to provide payment proof to the hotel reservations department within 48 hours of the time of booking and it will indicate the reservation confirmation number on the payment proof. Guests will be fully responsible for any banking fees and/or costs required to complete the bank fund transaction(s). Furthermore, reservations may be cancelled by the hotel if payment proof is not submitted to the hotel within the 48-hour notice period. There are penalties for any cancellation or no-shows and it has to be covered by the guests.


Cancellation Policy

We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations under the circumstances where it appears that guests have provided an invalid credit card, engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity, or the reservation contains or resulted from a mistake or error. In addition, we also reserve the right to cancel or amend bookings if they do not adhere to our Terms and Conditions.

For refundable bookings, guests will be charged the payment of the first night if the reservation made is decided to be cancelled.

For non-refundable bookings, guests will be charged the full payment of the period of stay if the reservation made is decided to be cancelled.

No-shows will be charged the full payment of the period of stay.


Reschedule Policy

Rescheduling to a lower rate, guests will follow the previous rate. Rescheduling to a higher rate, guests will have to pay the payment difference from the previous rate.

For non-refundable bookings, guests are allowed to reschedule up to 7 days prior to arrival.


Pricing Errors

Chesa Canggu and its affiliates reserve the right to cancel contracts based upon incorrect information being displayed regarding to price or service at any point in time.


Foreign Currency

Payments accepted will be in IDR Rupiah only.


Credit Cards Accepted

Visa, Master, JCB, and Union Pay Card.

Please note that due to Government regulations, when paying by credit card, quoted rates are converted into Indonesian Rupiah according to the prevailing Hotel Book Keeping rate at the time of transaction. Personal cheque is not accepted.


Pet Policy

Guests are prohibited from bringing their pets.


Maximum Room Occupancy

Two (2) persons per room for Deluxe Room are allowed with existing bedding. Baby cots are available upon request.


Smoking Restriction

All of our rooms are all non-smoking rooms. We have designated certain smoking areas. Please contact Reception for further information.



Thara Restaurant is located next to Chesa Canggu, however, it is not a hotel restaurant.

Restaurant opening hours: 7AM to 11PM from Monday-Sunday.

Breakfast available at restaurant daily from 7AM to 10AM.

We provide Room service and Pool menu from the food in Thara Restaurant available daily from 11AM -9PM (last order).


Airport Transfer

Airport transfer is available upon request at an additional charge. For assistance please email to or contact Reception for further details.


Left Belongings

Chesa Canggu shall not be liable for the loss or damage of items that are left in the rooms after guests are checked out. If left items are not claimed within the maximum period of 7 days, the Hotel may dispose of it without notice.



Guests are liable for any damage howsoever caused to the allocated room(s) or to Chesa Canggu premises or property by guests or any persons in the guests’ party (whether or not staying at the Hotel) during the stay. Chesa Canggu reserves the right to retain guests’ credit card and/or debit card details and charge or debit such amounts for loss and breakage. Regardless, the Hotel further reserves the right to commence legal proceedings against guests without notice


Guest Activities

Whilst the utmost care is taken to ensure weather conditions are congenial, it is considered the guests’ own decision to book activities during the stay. Chesa Canggu does not take any responsibility for injury or claims during these activities.

Visitors not registered as Hotel Guests are not allowed to enter guests’ rooms. Meetings will be allowed in the Lobby area.


Hotel facilities

Valid only for all in-house guest.



As a condition of use of this website, you warrant to Chesa Canggu that you will not use this website for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms, conditions and notices. Although Chesa Canggu may from time to time monitor or review discussions, chats, postings, transmissions, bulletin boards, and the like on this website, Chesa Canggu is under no obligation to do so and assumes no responsibility or liability arising from the content of any such locations nor for any error, defamation, libel, slander, omission, falsehood, obscenity, pornography, profanity, danger, or inaccuracy contained in any information within such locations on the website. You are prohibited from posting or transmitting any unlawful, threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic, or profane material or any material that could constitute or encourage conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law. Chesa Canggu will fully cooperate with any law enforcement authorities or court order requesting or directing Chesa Canggu to disclose the identity of anyone posting any such information or materials.


Limitation of Liability

Notwithstanding anything contained in these Terms and Conditions to the contrary, Chesa Canggu and its affiliates shall not be responsible for indirect damage, damage arising from consequential damage or special circumstances, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of profit, loss of use, loss of opportunity, arising out of the performance or non-performance of obligations under these Terms and Conditions.


Governing Law & Jurisdiction

The products and/or services described in and available through the site may not be available in your country. We make no representation that the services or products offered on the site are appropriate or available for use in any particular location. The site is operated from Indonesia and it is governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.

All the above rates and policies are subject to change without prior notice and all special requests are subject to availability upon arrival.
